Focused on Client Needs and Long-Term Relationships

2007 New Jersey Super Lawyer- Business Litigation

2008 Super Lawyer, Corporate Counsel Edition - Business Litigation

Welcome Many years ago, businesses and individuals regarded their attorney as a trusted advisor to whom they could turn to provide sound counsel and pragmatic advice. In turn, attorneys treated their clients with professionalism and respect. Clients were not simply "customers." A long-term relationship of mutual trust and confidence was the hallmark of the true attorney-client relationship. The client's long-term success was the yardstick by which the attorney was measured.

In today's complex world, I believe that an attorney cannot be all things to all clients. I am a trial attorney and my sole focus is being an advocate for my clients. Trials are won before anyone sets foot in a courtroom through knowledge, skill and preparation. My goal is to provide each and every client the "old-school" philosophy of putting their needs and success first. By establishing a long-term relationship of trust and confidence, I will come to know your needs and how to provide you with sound counsel and pragmatic advice.

As your attorney and advocate, your success will be the measure of my success.

I have represented businesses and individual clients in business litigation and trial on a wide range of cases. I have argued cases at all levels of the courts in New Jersey, from the trial courts through the New Jersey Supreme Court. A large portion of my practice is devoted to representing businesses and individuals in cases involving contracts, civil rights, ERISA , trusts and securities/investment fraud. Business litigation can make or break any business from the largest publicly-held company to the smallest private enterprise. The complexities and trial strategies of business litigation require a broad range of knowledge from substantive law to how the case might play out at trial or on appeal.

As part of my business litigation practice I regularly represent employers and employees in disputes related to discrimination, termination, employee benefits, employment contracts, and pensions. Representing Agents, Brokers, and Agencies in the real estate and insurance industry is another area in which I have experience. Whether you are an employer or an employee, agent, or broker, disputes about employment or compensation can have a significant impact on your life and family. Proper and effective legal representation can mean the difference.

Many business and commercial disputes are no longer brought in court, but are instead submitted to arbitration by agreement or contract. I have extensive experience in the complexities of arbitration. Although arbitration may appear a simple alternative to court, it is deceptively complex in the manner in which it affects the rights of the parties, how disputes are settled, and the legal implications that follow an arbitration award. I have extensive experience in the range of issues affecting the drafting of arbitration agreements and the litigation of business disputes through arbitration.
